Windows 7 clone

It's time to know how to clone a Windows 7 disk to another disk. Today I had to change the HD of a new Notebook with a SSD but I do not want to lose the windows 7 preinstallation.

So I used this good tool to clone the disk www.backup-utility.com

Then the boot fail.

So I had to reboot from a cd with windows installation but the bios don't want to see the USB external DVD.
so disabled in BIOS mSATA boot mode, then in the boot list usb cd was appeared.

After that during install before to select the language I hit SHIFT+F10 a good console appeared, inside that i typed:

bootrec /rebuildbcd

Ant that's all, reboot again in the right windows partition!

Open DOS console during windows installation

To access the DOS console during a windows installation on the language selection hit SHIFT+F10
